A small town under the Kurimska hora mountain, on the railway line from Brno to Tisnov. A starting point to the Baba Park. There are a swimmingpool and a chateau in there. The chateau has rised from rebuilding of a strong-hold in 16th century. The chateau is a seat of a high school. Many concerts and cultural actions take place there, on its court. Kurim is the most significant industry centre in the region of Brno-venkov. The town is surrounded by rings of national reservations with precious kinds of plants. We may see almoust a third of Moravia and a part of Austria from the outlook-tower on Babím lom, 3km northeast of the centre. We recommend visiting the local swimming pool. It is a 25 meters long indoor pool with a children pool and open air pool 50 meters long with a tobogan. There is also a plaing-field for beach voleyball, a garden restaurant and many other services.
